To begin, you’ll need to download your IdentityIQ credit reports in .HTML format. While a PDF may be available, our software reads HTML more effectively — giving us a clear two-year view of your credit history across TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax.

💡 Tip: Use our promo code to get all three reports for just $1 for the first 7 days. After that, IdentityIQ is $29.99/month. While credit monitoring is optional, it’s highly recommended for real-time insights during your repair process.

Other services like Credit Karma only provide Equifax and TransUnion — and don’t include the account numbers we need to build powerful dispute letters.

Step 2: Log Into Your Better Report™ Dashboard

Once you’ve downloaded your reports, log into your free Better Report™ dashboard. Here, we’ll ask you a few simple questions about your credit situation — nothing complicated.

This helps us understand your unique story so we can create dispute letters that reflect your specific situation — not generic templates. Our system uses your input to make every letter custom-built and personally meaningful.

Step 3: Upload Your Identification

To comply with federal and state laws — and to ensure your disputes are accepted by the bureaus — we’ll ask you to upload a few forms of ID:

  • State ID (Driver’s license or state-issued card)
  • Federal ID (Social Security card or passport)
  • Proof of address (Utility bill, lease, marketing mailers, etc.)

This protects your legal rights, confirms your identity, and ensures all letters are matched to you — so the credit bureaus take your dispute seriously.

Step 4: Upload Your IdentityIQ Credit Report

Once your ID and reports are uploaded, you’re all set. We now have the verified information needed to meet the standards of each credit bureau and begin building your dispute letters. Please also upload your .HTML file that was downloaded from IdentityIQ.

Step 5: Schedule Your Better Report™ Credit Review

Next, you’ll receive an email to schedule your Credit Review — a one-on-one analysis of your report. This is a $247 session that includes:

  • A deep dive into your credit profile
  • An explanation of the 5 factors that make up your credit score
  • A custom dispute strategy built just for you

Here’s how credit scoring breaks down (550 points to earn):

  • 35% — Payment History
  • 30% — Amounts Owed
  • 15% — Length of Credit History

Step 6: Launch Your First Round of Disputes

Your $247 review includes your first round of dispute letters — sent at no additional charge.

Step 7: Send Your Disputes (Mail or Auto-Mail)

You have two options for sending disputes:

  1. Mail them yourself – Recommended! Using your return address increases acceptance and reduces stall tactics.
  2. Click “Send” in your dashboard – We’ll mail your letters for you. The first round is free, and any future sends are $7 per account.

Credit bureaus often stall disputes from third-party mailers. By mailing directly from your address, you increase your chances of faster, more accurate responses.
